PAL's H1N1 Flu Plan

The Health Department has warned of an especially hard flu season this year.  In preparation, the PAL Youth Center staff will be taking the following precautions:

1.  Hard surfaces at the Youth Center will be disinfected nightly.
2.  Will provide education to youth around hand-washing and good hygiene.
3.  Ill youth will be sent home.
and implement the following procedures:
4.  Minimum staffing levels for the center will be 3 staff and 1 supervisor.  If we fall below this minimum level, or if both supervisors fall ill, the Youth Center will be closed until we are able to meet our minimum staffing levels.
5.  Parents will be notified of any potential Youth Center closures due to flu through the alert system provided by local television and radio stations, local television and radio station websites, through the school districts, through group e-mail, and updating the Youth Center phone message and signage.
6.  Center will be disinfected prior to re-opening.
